D-Day
D-Day The tide comes in; the waves collapse like exhausted soldiers pushing their bodies onto Omaha Beach. The briny sea saturating field jackets now as heavy as the gear carried on backs of young men so far from home. The current drags them in, lines of weary warriors coming to face their final battle on a foreign shore; their first trip was their last. Their lives punctured by sniper fire from other boys up the sandy bluff The tide goes out; the world is never the same. ~Rae Carpenter

Dr. Rae,
I was moved to tears while reading your tribute to the greatest of the greatest generation. We owe them our remembrance for for their sacrifice. God bless you for remembering them and God bless those who gave their tomorrows for our todays.
God bless these brave boys of D-Day June 6, 1944. I will think of them always. Thank you Rae. Sincerely, Scott
